The great Palestinian lie

The Peace Plan, Israel, Rick Warren and the Lie

There is a group linked to Rick Warren’s PEACE plan that has a leftist, false view of reality in Israel and insists that genocide is going on in “Palestine.” Jim Fletcher of Prophecy Matters says that this is diabolical and explains further, with the promise of much more to come, here:

Pope Benedict XVI meets PA President Abbas at Vatican, says its urgent that Palestinian state, Israel “live in security, at peace with neighbors.”

The Vatican on Friday called urgently for a just and lasting peace between peace between Israel and the Palestinians, which it said can be brought about through and independent Palestinian state.

“Soon, the State of Israel and the Palestinian state must live in security, at peace with their neighbors and within internationally recognized borders,” the Vatican said in a statement issued following a meeting between Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican.

Unprecedented

Unprecedented

by David Brog

Last week, both President Obama and Prime Minister Netanyahu staked out their positions on the Israeli-Palestinian peace process. Their speeches have launched a thousand commentaries about Israel’s pre-1967 borders and the best way to achieve peace in the Middle East. But missed in this torrent of talk were three significant departures from prior positions.

In his May 19th speech, President Obama declared that “the borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the 1967 lines with mutually agreed swaps.” Not only did the President emphasize the ’67 lines, but he did so in the absence of any corresponding Palestinian concessions. Both in his original speech and in his clarification of that speech before AIPAC, President Obama failed to mention the key Palestinian concession – the rejection of the Palestinian “right of return” to Israel, i.e. the “right” of the millions of grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the original 1948 refugees to “return” to Israel and turn it into another Arab state.

PM: Some settlements will end up beyond Israel border
By HILARY LEILA KRIEGER AND HERB KEINON

Netanyahu tells Congress Hamas isn’t a partner for peace, its charter calls for killing Jews; says he’s ready to make “painful compromises.”

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Tuesday for the first time acknowledged that some settlements would end up beyond Israel’s borders in any peace deal and hinted at a softening of his line on Jerusalem, during a landmark address to the US Congress.

Though he declared that “Jerusalem must remain the united capital of Israel,” he added that “I believe with creativity and goodwill a solution can be found.”

US Congressman blames conflict on refusal to accept Israel

WASHINGTON – A top Republican Congressman took a swipe at US President Barack Obama’s Middle East policy in a speech to America’s biggest pro-Israel lobby Sunday that won enthusiastic backing from the crowd.

Calling the Palestinian culture one “infused with resentment and hatred,” US House Majority Leader Eric Cantor blamed that mindset as the obstacle to peace between Israelis and Palestinians, not border issues as highlighted by Obama in recent days.

See what president expects Jewish state to surrender next

By Aaron Klein

JERUSALEM – While President Obama last week outlined an Israeli retreat as part of a deal with the Palestinian Authority, the U.S. in recent weeks also quietly has been leading talks aimed at an Israeli surrender of the strategic Golan Heights, WND has learned.

Dennis Ross, Obama’s Middle East envoy, has exchanged messages the past few weeks between Israel and the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad, according to informed Israeli and Arab officials.

Obama’s False Choice

Obama’s False Choice

By Jonathan Tobin

http://www.JewishWorldReview.com | In his address to AIPAC Sunday morning, President Obama doubled down on the points he made in his speech on Thursday. After a lengthy, and not entirely unjustified defense of his administration’s record of support for Israel’s security, he continued talking down to the Jewish state and its government as if he knew better than they about the situation in the Middle East.

Following the talking points that the administration has been furiously spinning since Thursday, Obama attempted to explain that there was nothing original or new in his attempt to lay down the 1967 lines as the starting point for future talks….

(Video) US president goes before Jewish lobby in DC, says US commitment to Israel’s security ‘ironclad,’ Washington won’t stand for Israel’s isolation in international arena. President further reassures: Israel, PA, to negotiate border different than 1967′s

VIDEO – WASHINGTON –
US President Barack Obama spoke before an AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) conference in Washington Sunday, amid rumored tensions with both Jreusalem and the Jewish community in the United States, following his Mideast policy speech last week.

Obama’s speech, where he endorsed the 1967 borders as the basis for the Israeli-Palestinian peace process, has chafed the tense relations between Jerusalem and Washington further, as well as sparked rumors that the Jewish American community was, for the large part, rethinking its support for Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign.

The New Arafat

The New Arafat

The United States believes that negotiations should result in two states, with permanent Palestinian borders with Israel, Jordan, and Egypt, and permanent Israeli borders with Palestine. The borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the 1967 lines with mutually agreed swaps…. The Palestinian people must have the right to govern themselves, and reach their potential, in a sovereign and contiguous state…. The full and phased withdrawal of Israeli military forces should be coordinated with the assumption of Palestinian security responsibility in a sovereign, nonmilitarized state….

These words from President Barack Obama’s speech on Thursday are the most chilling message ever sent by a U.S. president to Israel, and possibly by any head of government to a supposed “ally.” It is often mentioned that, soon after the Six Day War of 1967, the then Israeli foreign minister Abba Eban referred to those 1967 lines as the “Auschwitz borders.” It is also often mentioned, as Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu did after his meeting with Obama on Friday, that these borders leave Israel all of nine miles wide at one of its most populous points.

Borderline Treachery – Obama proposes leaving Israel indefensible.

Borderline Treachery
Obama proposes leaving Israel indefensible.

by Andrew C. McArthy

Would that the president of the United States were as worried about Arizona’s border as he is about “Palestine’s.”

There was less fanfare about this latest Obama oration on the future of the Middle East, staged at Foggy Bottom, than there was about his 2009 Cairo speech. It was, however, every bit as delusional, and twice as treacherous.

OBAMA SIDES WITH ARAB WORLD AGAINST ISRAEL!

OBAMA SIDES WITH ARAB WORLD AGAINST ISRAEL!
by One Jerusalem News

In his State Department speech to the Arab world, President Obama threw Israel overboard as he demanded that Israel must make major concessions to achieve peace in the region. When you cut through his rhetoric, Obama believes that Israel must make major concessions that include Jerusalem and the right of return so there can be a peace.

Obama rejected the notion that the coming together of Fatah and Hamas is a deal breaker. He called it a legitimate question (How can Israel come to agreement with Hamas that does not recognize the State of Israel?) but he believes there is an answer to this question that will allow Israel to negotiate with Hamas. He gave lip service to the idea of a Jewish State and to Israel’s security but he emphatically stated that the the indefensible borders of the 1967 (with undefined adjustments) will be the borders of the State of Israel and the new Palestinian State….

JERUSALEM’S INDIVISIBLE POPULATION

JERUSALEM’S INDIVISIBLE POPULATION
by Chana Ya’ar (IsraelNationalNews)

Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat told international media Wednesday that his city’s diverse population cannot be divided – nor can the city itself.

Even though the Palestinian Authority continues to insist that Israel give up half of Jerusalem so it can create a capital for a new PA Arab country, Barkat said the demand is simply unrealistic. “You cannot divide this city,” he told an Associated Press reporter and several others who met in his office at city hall. “I know it will never work.”

There are more than 800,000 residents in the city, including at least half a million Jews and nearly 300,000 Arabs, most of whom work together with Jews.

“Where will they work?” Barkat asked. “Show me one example of a city (divided) that continued to work….

Is the President’s Plan to Divide Jerusalem God’s Plan?

Is the President’s Plan to Divide Jerusalem God’s Plan?
by John Claeys

The N.Y. Times reports that President Obama has created his own diplomatic plan to rival the plan of Israeli P.M. Netanyahu. Obama’s plan would split Jerusalem, giving the Eastern half to the Palestinians.

But herein lies the problem. The Eastern side of Jerusalem contains the Temple Mount, the area which has contained the two Jewish temples. In addition, the Bible tells us that another temple will be constructed. In fact, it will be built as a key component of the end-times treaty, the seven-year covenant with Israel that starts the clock ticking on the final seven years before the return of Christ.

Muslim Brotherhood wants end to Egypt-Israeli peace deal

Egypt’s banned Muslim Brotherhood movement has unveiled its plans to scrap a peace treaty with Israel if it comes to power, a deputy leader said in an interview with NHK TV.

“After President Mubarak steps down and a provisional government is formed, there is a need to dissolve the peace treaty with Israel,” al-Bayoumi said.

ISRAEL IN AN “UNPRECEDENTED” PERIOD OF SECURITY

MILITARY INTELLIGENCE CHIEF: ISRAEL IN AN “UNPRECEDENTED” PERIOD OF SECURITY, BUT IRAN CAN ALREADY PRODUCE A NUCLEAR BOMB
Posted: November 22, 2010

Israel’s outgoing military intelligence chief, Major General Amos Yadlin, made three remarkable statements in testimony to the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, reports Haaretz:

1. ISRAEL IS MORE SECURE THAN EVER BEFORE — “The recent security calm is unprecedented,” Yadlin told the parliamentary committee. Despite emerging and serious threats from Iran and her Radical Islamic allies, for the moment Israel is enjoying a period of remarkable calm in light of the peace treaties with Egypt and Jordan, almost no terrorism emanating out of the West Bank, relative calm in Gaza in the aftermath of Operation Cast Lead, relatively calm borders for the last four years with Lebanon and Syria, and a regime change in Iraq that led to a nascent but improving democracy. “Israel’s deterrence is very strong but the lull [in regional violence] shouldn’t mislead anyone, the opposite is true. Our enemies are strengthening and arming,” Yadlin added. Does this period qualify as Jews living “securely” in the land of Israel prior to the rise of a Russian-Iranian led coalition that will launch the “War of Gog and Magog” again Israel in the “last days,” as foretold in Ezekiel 38-39? For the moment, it is, in my view, too early to draw a conclusion one way or the other, but it is certainly worth careful consideration.

Obama Demands Jews Lease Their Land

Obama Demands Jews Lease Their Land

By Joseph Farah
WorldNetDaily

Have you heard the latest great foreign-policy idea from Barack Obama?

He wants Israel to lease lands in historic Judea and Samaria from the Palestinian Authority.

This would presumably be a reward to the Arabs for waging nearly continuous acts of war and terrorism on the Jews for 62 years.

But what is even more shocking to me as a Christian American of Arabic heritage is that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu approves of the idea in principle.

Over the past week, it has been widely reported that the Obama administration and the Netanyahu government are conducting secret negotiations regarding future Israeli land surrenders to the Palestinians in the Jordan Valley and Jerusalem. “I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession;” (Genesis 17:8)

You almost have to hand it to those jokers down in Foggy Bottom. All the while they protest and maintain that they are “honest brokers,” “impartial” who want to do what is “best for both sides.”

At the same time, they repeatedly, earnestly insist that: “Israel has no better friend than the United States” – Joe Biden. “We are Israel’s best friend and ally ” – Barack Obama.

And if Israel balks, questioning the administration in Washington DC, the president says: “Israelis are suspicious of me because my middle name is Hussein.”

Let’s get rid of the smoke and mirrors.

Obama, Israel and the Palestinian State

Obama, Israel and the Palestinian State
By Dr. James M. Hutchens
The Jerusalem Connection

Rachel Ehrenfeld said: “The huge Republican gain in the mid-term elections diminished significantly President Obama’s political influence domestically and internationally. … [Still], Obama’s failure could encourage his plans for a Palestinian State. … His ill-conceived “peace plan” in the Middle East – pressuring Israel to freeze construction in areas claimed by the Palestinians, give up large parts of its territory, and recognize Hamas – seem to fit the bill. … The general opinion in Israel seems to support the notion that the changes in the House will do little to change Obama’s aspiration to create a Palestinian state. … A weak Obama at home should not be underestimated. He would surely use his office to exert significant power abroad, and perhaps force Israel to make dangerous concessions.”

Obama Squeezes Israel

On July 6, 2010, the day Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu met with President Barack Obama at the White House, the Wall Street Journal published an article by Charles Levinson and Jay Solomon entitled “U.S., Israel to Burnish Ties,” which stated:

U.S. officials said they will continue to press Netanyahu to firmly commit to discussing the fundamental issues involved with creating a Palestinian state, as one of a number of confidence-building measures. U.S. officials acknowledged that without this, (Palestinian Authority Chairman) Abbas will face trouble selling the idea of direct talks to a skeptical Palestinian population and neighboring Arab states.

Why Islam Will Never Accept the State of Israel

Why Islam Will Never Accept the State of Israel
By Steven Simpson

It is a common belief that the “Arab-Israeli conflict” is a conflict of two peoples fighting over the same piece of land and is therefore one of nationalism. Rarely, if ever, do we hear or read of the religious component to this conflict.

However, if anything, the conflict is more of a “Muslim-Jewish” one than an “Arab-Israeli” one. In other words, the conflict is based on religion — Islam vs. Judaism — cloaked in Arab nationalism vs. Zionism.

MCC urges governments to end Gaza blockade

MCC urges governments to end Gaza blockade
Gladys Terichow
June 4, 2010

WINNIPEG, Man. – Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) is urging the governments of the U.S. and Canada to work constructively within the international community to restore the normal flow of goods and people through Gaza-Israel border crossings.

In letters to the U.S. president and Canada’s foreign affairs minister, MCC urges them to support an impartial and independent investigation into Israel’s deadly response to the Free Gaza flotilla on May 31.

The convoy, carrying 10,000 tonnes of much-needed aid, was attempting to enter the Gaza Strip by sea and break the Israeli blockade that has a devastating effect on the livelihoods and lives of Gaza’s 1.5 million Palestinians. The convoy was intercepted by the Israeli military before reaching Gaza and clashes led to the deaths of nine people.

Daryl Byler, MCC’s representative in the region, said hundreds of thousands of people in Gaza live in dire conditions without employment and basic supplies because of the Israeli blockade.

America’s Policy Towards Israel Officially Shifts

America’s Policy Towards Israel Officially Shifts

The New York Times Makes It Official: Obama Has Shifted U.S. Policy Against Israel
[Excerpts]

The New York Times officially proclaimed the administration’s changed attitude in a front-page story [April 14, 2010] that ought to send chills down the spine of anyone who believed Barack Obama when he pledged in 2008 that he would be a loyal friend of Israel.

In the view of the paper’s Washington correspondents, the moment that signaled what had already been apparent to anyone who was paying attention was the president’s declaration at a Tuesday news conference that resolving the Middle East conflict was “a vital national security interest of the United States.” Mr. Obama went on to state that the conflict is “costing us significantly in terms of blood and treasure,” thus attempting to draw a link between Israel’s attempts to defend itself with the safety of American troops who are fighting Islamist terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan and elsewhere in the world. By claiming the Arab-Israeli conflict to be a “vital national security interest” that must be resolved, the “frustrated” Obama is making it clear that he will push hard to impose a solution on the parties.

The significance of this false argument is that it not only seeks to wrongly put the onus on Israel for the lack of a peace agreement but that it also now attempts to paint any Israeli refusal to accede to Obama’s demands as a betrayal in which a selfish Israel is stabbing America in the back. The response from Obama to this will be, the Times predicts, “tougher policies toward Israel,” since it is, in this view, ignoring America’s interests and even costing American lives.
