The New Vatican Attack on Israel as an Occupation of Biblical Lands

The New Vatican Attack on Israel as an Occupation of Biblical Lands
Jacob Prasch

So what else should be expected from a pope who in his youth wore a swastika, the uniform of a Nazi, and fought for Hitler and the Third Reich, who now heads the same church that perpetrated the Inquisitions, and who operates from the same Vatican that shielded Nazi war criminals from justice with its infamous “Rat Lines”? When has the apostate Church of Rome ever NOT hated Jews? The latest Vatican action simply promulgates and continues their long, evil history. So what else should be expected from a harlot church who fundamentally rejects the Word of God? It stands to reason that if Rome rejects the Bible it will reject that the Scripture teaches the biblical land is the land of Israel, not an Islamic-Arab, redefined Palestine.

What Bible is the Vatican reading?

“…in one fell swoop, a senior Church official sought to deny the unique, covenantal relationship between God and the Jews, rejecting the divine promise to restore the people of Israel to their Land. One cannot help but wonder: What Bible is the Vatican reading? Whichever one it is, it must be missing a few pages, as even a cursory glance at the Scriptures makes clear that the Jewish people’s right to the Land of Israel is indisputably ordained.

Take, for example, Isaiah 14:1-2: “The Lord will have compassion on Jacob; once again He will choose Israel and will settle them in their own land.” Or how about Jeremiah 11:5, where God says: “I will fulfill the oath I swore to your forefathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey…” And then there’s Ezekiel 34: 11-13. And Hosea 3:4-5. And Amos 9:14-15. And Obadiah 1:17, Zephaniah 3:19-20 and Zechariah 8:7-8.

YOU GET the point. But it doesn’t seem that the Catholic Church does.”

THE VATICAN’S LATEST, PAINFUL PRONOUNCEMENT ON ISRAEL IS WRONG

WITH ALL DUE RESPECT, THE VATICAN’S LATEST, PAINFUL PRONOUNCEMENT ON ISRAEL IS WRONG: Paul’s letter to Rome affirms that Jews are the chosen people
Posted: October 25, 2010 by joelcrosenberg in Uncategorized

A new headline in the Jerusalem Post reads: “Vatican synod calls for end to Israel’s ‘occupation’: At conference on Christians in the Middle East, US Melkite archbishop says: ‘There is no longer a chosen people.’” With all due respect, the Vatican is wrong on this issue. The entire Bible — from Genesis to Revelation — makes crystal clear again and again the Lord’s love for the Jewish people, His decision to choose Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and their descendants for His very own, and His eternal promise to give the Holy Land to the Jewish people.

As such, it is the duty of all true followers of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to bless Israel and reaffirm her fundamental legitimacy and right to the Land. Yes, we should bless and love the Palestinians, as well, because our Lord Jesus said as a Jew living in Israel, “Love your neighbor,” and, “Love your enemies.” But we should never accept the false teaching that God has rejected the Jewish people or rescinded His promises to the nation of Israel. That simply is not Biblical.

Vatican: Israeli occupation foments Mideast conflicts

Internal document to be used as guide for upcoming meeting of Mideast bishops reads, ‘Violence is in the hands of the strong and weak alike, the latter resorting to whatever violence is within reach in order to be free’
Associated Press

A Vatican document released Tuesday blamed the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the “occupying” of lands for fomenting most of the conflicts in the Middle East, driving Christians out and making life difficult for those who remain.

The document is a guide for discussions for an Oct. 10-24 meeting of Mideast bishops convened by Pope Benedict XVI to discuss the plight of the Christian minority in the overwhelmingly Muslim region. The exodus of Christians from the region and religious discrimination faced by those who remain are main issues on the table.

Israel won’t surrender Christian sites to Vatican

Israel won’t surrender Christian sites to Vatican

A delegation headed by Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon departed for the Vatican on Wednesday to let the Catholic Church know it will not receive ownership of dozens of Christian holy sites throughout Israel and the Palestinian-ruled territories.

The Vatican has been demanding for decades that Israel surrender ownership of the holy sites, exempt the church of taxes on those properties, and waive its right to ever expropriate the land on which they sit. During that time, the Vatican has refused to pay taxes on the properties it does own in Israel.

One of the main sites being demanded by the Vatican is the traditional location of Jesus’ Last Supper on Mount Zion just outside the present-day walls of the Old City.

Ayalon told reporters that Israel will not relinquish ownership of the room of the Last Supper or any of the other 28 holy sites under its direct sovereignty, but is willing to make some concessions on taxes and to waive its right to nationalize church property.
